There was also good use of descriptive language and lots of detail adding weight to the plot. There are some dark and gruesome parts to this tale that adds to the storyline and the mystery throughout. I especially appreciated the characters Kate and Hank as they are our protagonists who are solving the case, but I also enjoyed getting to know Lisa Carmichael and David Stone. The characters are described so well that they came across as very real. I Loved the way the story was written with a clue from the victim found at the first murder scene which sets the detectives on their way to finding out who committed this horrific murder and why, but they don’t have much to go on.įrom the first chapter, I was already hooked and eager to find out more. Her Last Request is one of the best thrillers that I have read recently. As Daniels steps closer to finding a killer, a killer is only a breath away from claiming his next victim. But much worse, she is now being watched. When Daniels recognizes the corpse but fails to disclose the fact, her personal life swerves dangerously into her professional life. Then the brutal killing of a man on Newcastle's quayside gives Daniels another chance to get it right - in her first case as Senior Investigating Officer. Eleven months after discovering a brutal double murder in a sleepy Northumbrian town, Detective Chief Inspector Kate Daniels is still haunted by her failure to solve the case. The Murder Wall is Mari Hannah's first gripping crime novel featuring DCI Kate Daniels.
